Beta Release!
We've finally released the beta version of Pareidolia! Much has been done since the start of our playtests to now, such as:
- The basement has been fully designed and implemented.
- Reorganized game flow: We've cut down the length of the game and introduced new tasks, such as being able to watch TV.
- Updated ambient music + finished sound effects for every interactable object in the game.
- Overhauled the look of stains and deterioration, as well as massively improved the lighting.
- Added scripted events, cutscenes, and a credits scene (with new music to go along with all).
- Improvements to UI: a title screen overhaul, a new options menu, and improvements to readability + design.
As a result, we've managed to complete a full game loop with a proper ending. On Thursday we presented our beta release at Zynga and had wonderful experience seeing everyone play and enjoy our game! We'd like to thank Zynga and our profs for that amazing opportunity.

This next week on Saturday we will be presenting at the Level Up Showcase, so in the meantime we will be continuing to fix up bugs and polish the game in preparation.
